Nigel Watts held a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing. He taught Creative Writing from 1989, the year in which he published his first award-winning novel, 'The Life Game' Stephen May's second book, Life! Death! Prizes! was nominated for the Costa Book Award in 2012. A 'talent to be reckoned with' (Melvyn Burgess), he is also a popular and respected teacher of creative writing and former director of the Arvon Centre, Lumb Bank. Jodie Daber has a Masters in Creative Writing, is the author of several published short stories and has just completed her first novel.
