Practical Science Series

This book contains a set of practical lessons, ideas and worksheets to explore the strand of Life and Living. Specific learning activities focus on the animal kingdom and animal habitats, invertebrates, honey bees, the structure of trees and the effect of light on plants. A range of science skills will be developed through these activities including researching and gathering data, conducting fair tests, making observations, and analysing and researching information from a range of sources. Educational website references have been included where possible. All activities are outcome linked to the science strands of state curriculum documents.
