Practical Science Series

This book contains a set of practical lessons, ideas and worksheets to explore the strand of Earth and Beyond. Specific learning activities focus on the sun, the sun’s path, the moon, lunar and solar eclipses, weather instruments and collecting weather data. A range of science skills will be developed through these activities including graphing, drawing and labelling diagrams, gathering data, interpreting simple data, constructing recording devices, and collecting and analysing weather phenomena. Educational website references have been included where possible. All activities are outcome linked to the science strands of state curriculum documents.
