Small group reading is great way to use decodable books in the classroom. Carefully planned group sessions allow teachers opportunities to instruct, model and guide children towards independent, fluent reading. 

There is one set of teacher notes for each book in the Little Learners BIG WORLD nonfiction series to support small group reading. These notes suggest a structure for your session and include some activities and talking points.

The SGR notes are included in the small group book packs and class book packs (digital and print - free of charge). Or you can buy them separately in our online shop here.
