This book contains a set of practical lessons, ideas and worksheets to explore the strand of Working Scientifically. Specific activities focus on investigating light, making colours, rainbows, fingerprints, floating and sinking, surfaces and water. Students will use their senses of sight, smell, touch and taste to learn more about these materials. A range of science skills will be developed through these activities including testing, making simple written observations, gathering data, illustrating, labelling and simple graphing. Educational website references have been included where possible. All activities are outcome linked to the science strands of state curriculum documents.
